Eels Lake Cottages and Marina is a small and cosy resort with cottages , marina and diverse services, located on the shores of Eels Lake, a medium size lake in the Kawartha Lakes region of central Ontario. In the summertime we cater to vacationing cottagers on the lake, and have cottages for rent for guests from the outside. Throughout the fishing season we cater to all needs of anglers seeking the big bass, walleye, or lake trout. Fall and spring offers opportunities for exploring the natural environment. And in winter we are hosts to snowmobilers, and winter cottagers.
COTTAGES

      Eels Lake Cottages & Marina provides both on-site cottage rentals and privately owned cottage rentals.
     ON-SITE COTTAGESIf you are looking for an all-inclusive package, the cottages on-site may be what you want. Each modern cottage comes with a boat and motor, use of canoes and paddleboats, an outdoor firepit, and use of all other facilities like swimming dock, sandbox and trampoline.

     PRIVATE COTTAGESIf privacy and "doing your own thing" is what is important to you, check out our privately owned cottages. We have everything from newly built deluxe log homes, to small rustic cabins and everything in between.
     With all of our rental units we are commited to providing you with a quality cottage experience.
MARINA

      Our Marina offers a wide variety of marina services for today’s boater. We offer both seasonal and daily parking and mooring services, and boat-launching services. We offer on-site repairs for all kinds of outboard motors. The Marina is a full-service Nissan Marine dealer. Nissan has a full line of 2-stroke motors from 2.5hp to 140hp, and a 4-stroke line ranging from 4hp to 15hp. All motors come with a 2-year warranty. We also buy and sell a wide variety of used boats and motors.

COTTAGER SERVICES

     At Eels Lake Cottages and Marina we offer a wide variety of facilities and services for Eels Lake guest and cottager alike, for both enjoyment of the stay at the lake and peace of mind. We have facilities for parking, mooring; a convenience store, telephone, bulletin board, etc. In terms of services, from opening and closing cottages, to boat and motor storage, and everything in between - we do it all.

  • Follow hwy 115 towards Peterborough and stay on it as it changes to highway 7 east.
  • Stay on highway 7 east until highway 134 north.
  • Turn left and follow all the way to highway 28 (county rd. 29).Turn right and follow.
  • Eleven kilometres past Apsley turn left onto Eels Lake Rd. and follow to the end.

NOTES
**LONG WEEKENDS: During HIGH season, priority is given to weekly rentals. Long Weekend rentals can only be confirmed 10 prior to arrival date.
***DAILY RENTALS: Mid and Low season only. Not applicable in High season or on Long Weekends.

RENTAL RULES

Payment
For all of our cottages we require a deposit of 50% of the total rental price at the time of booking on either Visa or MasterCard.  The balance (plus a $ security deposit) is due upon arrival.  Please make all cheques payable to '‘Eels Lake Cottages and Marina’'.  We accept Visa, MasterCard and Interac. 
 Security Deposits
A security deposit of $ cash is required at check in. (This deposit is not necessary as long as a valid credit card number is provided.) This is to cover any loss or damage to the cottage, or to items lent to you or your party during your stay.  The deposit will be refunded to you 2 weeks after check out, provided  the cottage and all items are returned in good condition. 
 Check In/Check Out
Check in time is 2pm and check out time is 9 am on Saturdays for On-site Cottages only. For Private Cottage rentals, check in time is 2pm and and check out time is 9am on Sundays.  There will be no refunds for late arrivals or early departures.  We reserve the right to substitute accommodation or amenities where circumstances dictate. Please note that our On-Site Cottages rent from Saturday to Saturday while the Private Cottages rent from Sunday to Sunday
 Occupancy
Every person counts in the total.  Occupancy is based on the number of bedrooms and the size of he septic and must be strictly adhered to. Additional  persons per cottage beyond the prescribed number, if allowable, are $ extra per week or $ per day. Inquire about additional persons at time of booking.
 Cancellations
The deposit is refundable less a $ adminstration fee if written notice is received 30 days prior to reservation date.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND RULES FOR ALL PRIVATELY OWNED COTTAGES BROKERED BY EELS LAKE COTTAGES AND MARINA

  • Within each cottage you will find a folder containing the “"Household Rules"”. The Rules contain useful information regarding the cottage, marina locations, emergency numbers, cleaning checklist garbage disposal, septic information etc. You are responsible for following the Rules during your stay, so please read through them carefully.
  • The cottage (inside and out) must be left the way you found it!  This means that it must be completely cleaned and tidied by you and/or your party before you check out.  Please be sure to do your dishes!  A cleaning checklist is included in the private cottage rental information package at each cottage.  Please take all garbage and recyclables with you when you leave.  No garbage should be left at the cottage.   Garbage disposal is available at the Marina for $3 per bag.  If the above is not adhered to, deductions will be made to your security deposit.  Also, any consumable items should be replaced (i.e. boat gas, propane, bottled water etc.)
  • A boat may or may not be provided with your cottage rental, however boat rentals are available on a daily or weekly basis from Eels Lake Cottages and Marina.  Please inquire at the time of booking.  You are responsible for following all boating laws and regulations.
  • If there is a problem during your stay, please contact us.  Eels Lake Cottages and Marina is responsible for checking the cottage between rentals. 
  • Directions and keys will be available at Eels Lake Cottages and Marina when you arrive.  Please return them when you leave.
  • Please adhere to any special conditions outlined in the “"Household Rules”" (smoking, pets etc.)
